About the Conflict News Browser

It can be difficult to find quality English language news stories outlining ongoing efforts to more constructively deal with difficult conflict situations around the world. It's easy to be overwhelmed with lots of virtually identical stories reporting the same high profile stories from the same basic perspective. It's also easy to be buried with "infotainment" rather than real news. In an effort to help correct this problem, the Beyond Intractability/CRInfo conflict news browser continually indexes recent stories from a select list of 15 major English-language newspapers which, collectively, offer a very broad range of perspectives. This index can then be browsed by conflict topic or searched for information on other topics. We encourage users to suggest additional news sources or topics to add to the browsing system.

I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity. -- Dwight D. Eisenhower
